Pottery Barn Sleigh Crib

Every new and doting couple should have a sleigh crib. If you don’t know what a sleigh crib is, well, it’s essentially a crib which resembles a sleigh when viewed from the side. But where can you buy a good one? The answer is the Pottery Barn, and that’s where you can find the special Pottery Barn Sleigh Crib. The Pottery Barn actually offers two different types of sleigh cribs.

Larkin Sleigh Crib

The Larkin sleigh crib ($39 – $999) is inspired by the carved beds of French royalty. This crib has wide slabs of hand carved solid Geronggang and Melonak hardwood and such details as channeled panels and double-walled ends made of medium density fiberboard with birch veneer. The mattress platform adjusts to four different heights, and the side rail is fixed. If it’s elegance you’re looking for, then this is it.

Regular Sleigh Crib

The regular sleigh crib ($39 – $699) has an exclusive design. It has a mattress platform which adjusts to three different heights, as well as a side rail which can—courtesy of its designed mechanism—be raised easily and quietly. The crib is made of hand-finished solid pine, poplar and beech solid woods. To protect your child from the crib’s wooden structure, a clear plastic teething guard is also included with your purchase.

Each Pottery Barn Sleigh Crib has a particular finish meant to coordinate with other pieces from Pottery Barn which have a similar color scheme. As an example, Rustic Sun, Valley Honey, Sun Valley Honey, and Honey are all designed to coordinate and sit in the same room with each other.

Conversion Kits, Compliance and Access

Pottery Barn Sleigh Crib conversion kits, which are sold separately and which convert a crib to a toddler bed when the baby grows bigger, are available for both the Regular sleigh crib and the Larkin sleigh crib.

Both sleigh cribs comply with US and Canadian Cribs and Cradles Regulations. The details of these fine cribs may be read and viewed in the Pottery Barn Kids website, where you may also gain access to other related products. Pottery Barn Kids is part of the Pottery Barn website network.
