Fendi Outlet: Luxurious Goods at Its Best
Founded in 1925 in Rome by Adele Casagrande, Fendi was widely known for its phenomenon Baguette handbags for the past decade. However, this company started out as a fur and leather specialty shop but wasn’t known as Fendi up until Casagrande married Edoardo Fendi. The couples’ five daughters eventually went into the family business later on.
A remarkable decision of the company in 1965 was to hire the once was an emerging talent stylist, Karl Lagerfeld, whom have trained under Pierre Balmain and Jean Patou. Lagerfeld designed the infamous double “F” logo which has been an iconic symbol to the company’s luxurious brands. Several lines that make up this company are furs, fragrances, eyewear, timepieces, and writing instruments which you may found in Fendi outlets.
It wasn’t until 1969 that Lagerfeld the brand’s first read-to-wear fur collection and had been dubbed as the forefront of fur innovation. Unlike traditional stiff and heavy coats, Lagerfeld used furs like fabric and made it into more lightweight and wearable styles. This experimentation with pelts continues up to present times. A few years later, Fendi launched its womenswear collection and menswear collection as well as denim, fragrances, and gifts in 1977 and throughout the 80s and 90s respectively. Since its first perfume, Fendi for Women, in 1985, Fendi fragrances expanded to Theorema Uoma and Fendi Uomo for mens fragrances and Celebration, Asja and Fantasia for women. The most recent addition was Fan di Fendi which was released in August 2010 in most Fendi outlet stores and retail stores.
Currently, Fendi is owned by LVMH. However, Karl Lagerfeld still remains the creative director. [Despite being part of LVMH, Fendi still remains as] “the one and only place to turn for the ne plus ultra of what can be done with fur and leather.”, quoted by Style.com’s Sarah Mower.
